Burnover Protection Products
Fire wrap for hoses and electrical lines
On commercial vehicles there are more plastic tubing, rubber lines and hoses that ever before. Most cannot handle temperatures over 82°C (180°F) without leaking. Our fire wrap lagging is designed to protect fuel and hydraulic hoses, brake lines and electrical cables from heat and flames while the vehicle is operating around bush fires or hot spots. It has been tested for both radiant and convective heat environments by the Australian CSIRO. The fire wrap lagging comes in a 7.6 M (25 ft.) long roll of flat insulating material for a specific diameter with an overlapping seam. It is cut to the appropriate length from its roll, located into place on the hose and fastened with stainless steel tie wraps to hold it securely. Various sized fire wrap lagging is available in a 7.6 M (25 ft.) long roll in the wrap diameters of:
14 mm (0.5 in.) / 25 mm (1.0 in.) / 50 mm (2.0 in.) / 100 mm (4.0 in.)
This product has been tested for both radiant and convective heat environments in bush fires. In standardized fire tests run by a third party laboratory our fire wrap lagging passed with at least a 100% safety factor, double the test requirements.-1 The test requires that a protected line should maintain an internal pressure of 700 kPa (110 psi) for at least 60 seconds after which a fire has attained a steady state of heat release greater than 800kW and a temperature of 900°C ( 1,650°F). Thermal insulating cores for crew doors
When removing the door panel trim and looking inside you will see openings, holes and vents which allow hot air and flames to enter the door. We design a custom thermal door insulating core that goes right under the door panel trip to seal off the openings. It is made from the same thermal core shield that is in our life-saving fire curtains.
